Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the MongoDB Documentation Platform.
  • Build features that improve the experience for documentation consumers and contributors.
  • Develop internal infrastructure, integrations, and applications supporting documentation and learning experiences.
  • Improve documentation accessibility, discoverability, user engagement, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Contribute to and occasionally lead small-to-medium scoped features and platform improvements with partner teams.
  • Analyze user behavior and platform performance to identify gaps and improve platform effectiveness.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of professional experience building and maintaining production software systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Git, TypeScript, React, Next.js, MDX, and other markup languages.
  • Deep understanding of TypeScript or JavaScript, preferably TypeScript.
  • Experience with MongoDB or a strong track record working with other databases.
  • Experience working on complex, production web applications.
  • Ability to write, discuss, and review code collaboratively.
  • Understanding of resilient, scalable, and maintainable software development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, curiosity, adaptability, and collaborative thinking.
