Responsibilities
- Build AI-assisted, agentic development experiences for App Runtime across the full technology stack.
- Author holistic technical and design specifications spanning frontend and backend systems and implement critical code.
- Partner directly with developers building Snowflake Apps to translate customer needs into product features and improvements.
- Improve quality, reliability, and performance through code review and mentor other engineers.
- Coordinate with related teams including Cortex AI, Container Platform, and Security.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree or higher is preferred but not required.
- 5+ years of experience, including significant frontend or full-stack software development experience and a track record of designing, shipping, and operating high-scale systems.
- Deep understanding of modern web application architecture, API design patterns, security, performance, and scale.
- Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript, ideally with Go, Python, and/or Java experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including crisp technical writing, constructive debate, and consensus-building across engineering, design, and product.
- Experience shipping 0-1 products and balancing feature completeness with time-to-market is preferred.
- Experience with multi-tenant systems, app hosting platforms, or developer tooling with strong isolation and a security-first posture is preferred.
- Technical leadership experience as an architect or tech lead for high-impact customer-facing products is preferred.
