Responsibilities
- Define and drive end-to-end test architecture, standards, and quality strategy across products and services.
- Own testing strategies across unit, API/contract, integration, UI, and end-to-end layers.
- Design CI/CD quality gates and establish trustworthy releasability standards.
- Lead performance, scalability, reliability, resilience, security, and data-quality testing.
- Build test-data management and environment strategies for sensitive, multi-tenant enterprise data.
- Define and monitor quality metrics including coverage, escape rate, flakiness, MTTR, and release confidence.
- Mentor SDETs and QA engineers and influence engineering-wide quality culture.
- Own quality assurance for LLM-powered copilots and agents, including groundedness, hallucination, prompt regression, guardrail, safety, and red-team testing.
- Drive AI-accelerated testing through generated test cases, self-healing automation, intelligent triage, coverage analysis, and synthetic test-data generation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably a B.E. or B.Tech in computer science or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in software quality or engineering, including several years as a test architect, principal SDET, or equivalent quality owner at platform scale.
- Strong coding and test automation ability in one or more of Python, Java, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks and solid API/contract testing expertise.
- Experience designing test architecture and CI/CD quality gates in cloud-native environments.
- Experience with performance/load testing tools such as k6, JMeter, or Gatling, along with reliability and security fundamentals.
- Experience testing data- or ML-driven systems or demonstrated ability to ramp quickly into new technical domains.
- Strong judgment, cross-team influence, communication, problem-solving, analytical, independent-work, and collaboration skills.
- Bonus experience with LLM/GenAI evaluations, RAG evaluation, prompt regression, LLM-as-judge methods, evaluation frameworks, ML pipelines, model performance, responsible AI, enterprise multi-tenant SaaS, regulated domains, or AI-assisted QA tooling.
