Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software applications and features across multiple platforms.
- Design, implement, troubleshoot, monitor, and support Oracle Xstore POS applications and related systems.
- Work with product management and business partners on solution design, story sizing, backlog grooming, and release planning.
- Develop retail deal and promotion engines, loyalty functionality, payment integrations, and peripheral integrations.
- Write software and automated tests while improving performance, scalability, availability, maintainability, and technical debt.
- Provide ongoing production support, monitoring, maintenance, and investigation of application issues.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to less experienced software engineers.
- Participate in architecture, requirements gathering, system design, implementation, and post-production support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of industry-related professional experience and education.
- 2–5 years of hands-on Oracle Retail Xstore POS development experience, including Oracle databases, Oracle EFTLink, RTLog Generator, and Xenvironment.
- 2–5 years of experience with deal and promotion engines.
- 2–5 years of deep expertise in Java 11/J2EE and SQL databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.
- 3–5 years of experience with Spring and related frameworks and/or peripheral integrations such as receipt printers, scanners, and PIN pads in Xstore POS.
- 2–5 years of experience with payment integrations such as Verifone, ACI, Adyen, and Worldpay.
- 2–3 years of experience with Oracle Xmobile and Thin Client architectures, plus Android development experience in a retail domain.
- Experience taking applications from conception and design through implementation and support.
- Experience with relational and dimensional data modeling, application lifecycle methodologies, analysis, design, programming, and database technology.
- Preferred experience with Git, Jira, Confluence, data integration or ETL projects, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum, test automation, and performance tuning.
- Advanced knowledge of requirements gathering, solution architecture, system design, development, implementation, and post-production support for scalable, high-volume retail software.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
