Responsibilities
- Improve model, training data, tool, and system design to advance search and agent quality.
- Develop LLM post-training and reinforcement learning methods for reasoning, search, tool use, and task completion.
- Train and evaluate multi-agent systems, including agent coordination and information sharing.
- Design and build agent harnesses, context management, execution environments, and orchestration systems.
- Improve retrieval and ranking models and search interfaces used by agents.
- Build datasets, reward signals, and evaluations to identify failures and guide improvements.
- Own experiments from hypothesis through scalable training, deployment, and measurement of quality, latency, and cost.
- Collaborate with AI, Search, Infrastructure, Data, and Product teams to bring capabilities into production.
Requirements
- Strong track record of building and shipping machine learning systems.
- Deep experience in one or more of LLM post-training, reinforcement learning, search and retrieval, or agent systems.
- Strong software engineering skills across model training, experimentation infrastructure, and production systems.
- Experience designing rigorous evaluations, diagnosing failures, and converting experimental results into practical improvements.
- Ability to work on open-ended problems requiring research judgment and hands-on engineering.
- Relevant experience may include tool-use or multi-step task training, multi-agent training or evaluation, agent harnesses, distributed training, scalable inference, or large-scale retrieval, ranking, and recommendation systems.
- Strong ownership, curiosity, and ability to carry ideas through to working systems.
