Responsibilities
- Own and execute AWS account separation for production, staging, and development environments.
- Lead the Aurora DB production migration with support from the infrastructure advisor.
- Manage and evolve ECS Fargate services, RDS clusters, ElastiCache, SQS queues, and ALB configuration.
- Own Terraform-based infrastructure as code.
- Harden IAM permissions and production access controls and enforce least privilege.
- Audit and secure public S3 buckets and enable AWS Config and Security Hub across accounts.
- Maintain SOC 2 Type 2 readiness with Sprinto and coordinate external penetration testing.
- Own and improve GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, deployment environments, and build and test reliability.
- Build PR stack environments and Docker Compose-based local development environments.
- Integrate AI-assisted testing into the CI pipeline.
- Own CloudWatch dashboards and lead post-incident reviews and runbook creation.
- Partner with product teams to distribute platform work through standing sprint allocations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years focused on infrastructure and platform engineering.
- Deep expertise with AWS, including ECS, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, SQS, Lambda, and account architecture.
- Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure as code.
- Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, deployment pipelines, and environment management.
- Security-minded approach to hardening systems while minimizing friction for product engineers.
- Experience with observability tools such as CloudWatch or Datadog.
