Responsibilities
- Architect production AI solutions, including tool selection, memory and context management, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop controls.
- Build and deploy agentic-system components, retrieval pipelines, MCP services, integrations, and systems connecting AI capabilities to enterprise data and processes.
- Modernize platforms and applications around current business needs, rebuilding legacy functionality where necessary.
- Design security, access controls, identity management, deployment guardrails, and operational resilience into solutions.
- Break complex problems into deliverable components and help define scope, sequencing, and implementation approaches.
- Write code, review agent-generated outputs, and shape architecture, controls, and production acceptance criteria.
- Create reusable patterns, skills, tooling, platforms, and AI solutions for future engagements.
- Work directly with clients, Product Strategists, Data Engineers, and multidisciplinary teams from discovery through deployment and, on some engagements, ongoing operations.
Requirements
- Track record of designing, building, and delivering complex technology solutions in production environments.
- Experience building and operating production software, with strong software engineering skills ideally including Python and TypeScript.
- Client-facing technical delivery experience is expected at senior levels.
- Experience designing and delivering cloud-native systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience building AI applications and agent-based systems in production.
- Experience with orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar technologies.
- Experience building retrieval-enabled systems with technologies such as pgvector, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch.
- Experience integrating applications with enterprise systems, data platforms, APIs, identity providers, and MCP-enabled services.
- Strong technical judgment, communication skills, and ability to navigate ambiguity while balancing delivery speed, quality, security, and maintainability.
- Preferred experience in consulting, professional services, or as a technical founder.
- Preferred experience in healthcare and life sciences, manufacturing, energy and utilities, transportation, or consumer industries.
- Preferred experience building reusable platforms, tooling, or AI solutions in regulated environments.
