Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Contribute to production ML models for anomaly detection across thousands of microservices.
- Develop ML training pipelines using PyTorch on GPU clusters, including feature engineering, model training, threshold calibration, and MLflow deployment.
- Process time-series telemetry such as error ratios, latency, and infrastructure metrics using windowing, normalization, and data-quality safeguards.
- Support real-time ML inference, model serving, detection logic, and automated alert generation.
- Build AI-driven investigation capabilities using foundation models including Claude and GPT-4.
- Create scalable FastAPI services that deliver ML predictions, health status, and insights.
- Partner with engineering and platform teams to embed ML intelligence into incident response and release validation workflows.
- Improve models through evaluation, retraining, and threshold tuning.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building and maintaining ML-powered backends, data-driven microservices, and production APIs using FastAPI or Flask.
- Hands-on end-to-end ML engineering experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow, including model selection, feature engineering, training, and evaluation.
- Proficiency in Python and at least one ML framework, preferably PyTorch.
- Experience managing model experiments, lineage, and hyperparameter tracking with MLflow or Weights & Biases.
- Experience processing and querying large-scale telemetry, event, or time-series datasets using PySpark, Pandas, or Databricks.
- Experience with GitHub, Docker, and cloud-native deployments using AWS and EKS.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, collaboration, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Preferred experience with foundation-model integration, prompt engineering and evaluation, RAG architectures, LangChain, or LangGraph.
- Preferred familiarity with observability platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, or Conviva and large-scale data platforms including Databricks, Spark, and Snowflake.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

- The hiring range is $117,500-$157,500 per year in Glendale, California, or $123,000-$165,000 per year in New York City, New York.
- The base pay may vary based on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
