Base Salary
$200k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, code, train, tune, deploy, monitor, and improve machine learning models for production use cases.
- Develop scalable data pipelines and maintain performant, reusable code across platforms.
- Build and improve backend systems, distributed services, and scalable APIs.
- Develop novel machine learning algorithms and conduct metric-driven research experiments.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
- Mentor and onboard ML engineers.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration and contribute to strategic direction and roadmap planning.
- Follow information-asset protection policies and report suspected security or policy violations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience building web applications.
- Experience implementing highly available distributed systems and microservices.
- Experience delivering scalable backend APIs.
- Experience writing code and training across distributed systems.
- Expertise with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Expertise in Python and/or shell scripting, particularly for data analysis.
- Subject matter expertise in at least one ML area, such as computer vision or natural language processing.
- Ability to lead end-to-end development of new products and make well-reasoned design tradeoffs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a bias toward action.
