Base Salary
$144k - $214k/yr
Responsibilities
- Embed within customer engineering teams to understand business processes, technical architectures, requirements, and operational constraints.
- Design and build production AI applications, including retrieval pipelines, workflow automation, API orchestration layers, and data integrations.
- Integrate foundation models, customer data sources, and existing applications into cohesive AI experiences optimized for latency, reliability, and cost.
- Own the software lifecycle for assigned workstreams, including scoping, design, coding, testing, deployment, operations, maintenance, and incident troubleshooting.
- Implement monitoring, evaluations, guardrails, and CI/CD practices to maintain healthy AI systems and resolve operational root causes.
- Mentor and train new team members, participate in code reviews, and coach others on producing high-quality code.
- Identify opportunities to expand customer AI adoption and create reusable patterns and accelerators for future deployments and AWS services.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience working in an Agile, startup, or rapidly scaling environment.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience communicating technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with agentic and spec-driven development; experience developing AI agents is a plus.
- Experience with AI tools, evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: experience in customer production environments and building or deploying AI/ML applications in production.
- Preferred: background as a founder, engineering lead, or startup builder with high ownership and urgency.
- Preferred: experience with React, TypeScript, Python, and/or Go.
- Preferred: customer-facing experience, technical project leadership, end-to-end production system scaling, or AWS services experience.
