Responsibilities
- Design, build, administer, optimize, and operate the enterprise Google SecOps platform.
- Own platform reliability, scalability, availability, upgrades, lifecycle management, and operational health.
- Design and implement security telemetry ingestion pipelines across cloud, SaaS, network, endpoint, and infrastructure platforms.
- Onboard data sources, develop parsers and mappings, normalize data with UDM, and validate log quality and integrity.
- Troubleshoot ingestion failures, parser issues, latency, pipeline bottlenecks, and platform performance problems.
- Build reusable onboarding frameworks, automation, configuration management, infrastructure-as-code, resiliency, and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Automate platform administration using Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, and other scripting languages.
- Develop CI/CD and automated validation processes for platform configuration, parsers, and operational content.
- Create dashboards and metrics for platform health, ingestion performance, parser quality, throughput, utilization, and capacity.
- Document platform standards and onboarding guidance while supporting SOC analysts with reliable security data and capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience administering and engineering Google SecOps SIEM or security telemetry platforms.
- Experience designing and operating large-scale security logging platforms.
- Experience integrating enterprise applications through APIs and cloud-native services.
- Strong troubleshooting and platform engineering skills across distributed systems.
- Understanding of enterprise log management and security telemetry architecture.
- Ability to translate complex technical requirements into scalable operational solutions and collaborate across engineering, cloud, networking, infrastructure, and security teams.
- Preferred but not required: detection engineering, YARA-L rule development, SOAR platforms, workflow automation, MITRE ATT&CK, threat hunting, incident response, purple team collaboration, threat intelligence, and security automation.
