Responsibilities

  • Own the software design and technology for a technical area of the Labyrinth Screening product.
  • Design and deliver scalable software across cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Lead the scaling of the SaaS platform to support more companies, data feeds, data items, and users.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, technical and product leaders, customers, and senior leadership on requirements and technical decisions.
  • Establish and promote engineering standards, design patterns, architecture guidelines, and technology approaches.
  • Mentor and influence technical teams while contributing to engineering standards and organizational growth.

Requirements

  • Deep and broad experience building and designing software as an engineer and technical leader.
  • Experience with big data or large-scale data processing systems.
  • Strong knowledge of software design patterns, industry best practices, and architecture design.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying software into production environments.
  • Experience designing distributed systems that manage extensive data or workloads.
  • Ability to understand complex and ambiguous scenarios and clearly articulate system architecture.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and engage wider technical teams.
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Expertise in software engineering and working knowledge of one or more of JavaScript, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, MongoDB, Apache Kafka, Amazon EKS, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with microservices architectures.
  • Highly desirable experience scaling a SaaS platform, particularly by evolving and improving system architecture.
