Responsibilities
- Design and develop features for the AlertMedia Incident Response product.
- Build features that remain resilient during live emergencies, including when dependencies are slow or unavailable.
- Learn and apply the AlertMedia platform, tools, and customer use cases.
- Work across the stack with JavaScript, Next.js, React, Python, Django, and other web technologies.
- Collaborate with engineering, product teams, principal engineers, and leadership on architectural evolution.
- Work in an Agile-based environment using Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Slack.
- Contribute innovative ideas to the product line and support AlertMedia’s culture, values, and vision.
- Communicate effectively across engineering and product teams while managing multiple projects.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- 4–5 years of experience building scalable applications with MVC or event-driven frameworks such as Django, Next.js, or similar technologies.
- Experience with Python and JavaScript technology stacks.
- Experience with Linux-based containers using Docker or Kubernetes.
- Required experience with AWS or another cloud service.
- Required experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and other storage technologies.
- Established practice writing unit and integration tests.
- Proficiency using AI coding tools such as Claude, Cursor, Codex, or similar tools across the development lifecycle.
- Strong collaboration, organizational, verbal, written, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Strong written and oral English proficiency.
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
