Base Salary
$135k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship Rewards & Incentives product experiences for Nextdoor’s Local Conversations team.
- Work across frontend and backend systems using React and Python/Django.
- Contribute to entity-relationship modeling, solution architecture, implementation, testing, and iteration.
- Collaborate with product management, design, engineering, data science, infrastructure, and machine learning teammates.
- Break down product requirements and implement maintainable technical solutions.
- Participate in team operating practices, including a gradual on-call shadow rotation after onboarding.
- Contribute product ideas and perspective in addition to executing predefined tasks.
- Use AI tools and emerging technologies to improve engineering workflows.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software development experience in a production environment.
- Strong frontend fundamentals and experience with modern JavaScript and React.
- Experience with a server-side web application language; Python/Django is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with SQL and development across frontend and backend systems.
- Ability to own projects with increasing independence and demonstrated proficiency.
- Ability to break down product requirements and collaborate on technical approaches.
- Strong verbal and written collaboration and communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Storybook or other component-driven development experience is preferred.
- Interest in applying AI tools and emerging technologies.
