Responsibilities
- Design, develop, unit test, and maintain Python-based microservices and RESTful APIs using FastAPI or Flask.
- Write modular Python code and contribute to technical design, system analysis, and application maintenance.
- Implement document and NoSQL data layers with MongoDB and Couchbase, including indexing, schema design, query optimization, and connection lifecycle management.
- Build Docker containers and assist with deploying and managing workloads on Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters.
- Use Helm, Harness, and CI/CD pipelines for automated building, linting, testing, and deployment.
- Build or integrate Angular frontend interfaces when required and connect LLM or generative AI capabilities to backend workflows.
- Support semantic models, embeddings, metadata definitions, structured schemas, semantic search, and domain data layers.
- Troubleshoot defects, investigate application errors, analyze logs, and support production releases.
- Participate in standups, sprint planning, estimation, code reviews, retrospectives, and cross-functional engineering work.
- Apply company security standards, coding guidelines, risk controls, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Strong Python proficiency, including data structures, object-oriented and functional programming, error handling, and asynchronous programming with asyncio.
- Practical experience designing and developing resilient, decoupled microservices and RESTful APIs using FastAPI or Flask.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB and Couchbase, including document modeling, query optimization, indexing, and connection lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience building Docker containers and deploying or running services in Kubernetes, including familiarity with Pods, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, and Secrets.
- Working knowledge of Git workflows, branching, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Helm and Harness.
- Working knowledge or hands-on experience with Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, HTML5, and CSS/SCSS is preferred.
- Understanding of generative AI, prompt engineering, LLM APIs, semantic models, vector embeddings, knowledge representations, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation is preferred.
- Exposure to ADK, LangChain, OpenAI, Claude, or Gemini is preferred.
- Familiarity with batch or stream processing, Kafka, Apache Spark, and SQL is an additional advantage.
- Strong analytical, debugging, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
