Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop optimized, performant, scalable, and secure software solutions.
- Build cloud infrastructure that makes cloud service deployment simple and fast.
- Develop APIs and services for SaaS and cloud-hosted network management platforms.
- Work across large-scale system design, networking, security, configuration, cloud technologies, management platforms, and Wi-Fi.
- Lead and influence technical discussions, architectural and design guidelines, code reviews, and release processes.
- Understand system-wide dependencies, identify risks, and communicate effectively across teams, product management, and leadership.
- Collaborate with development centers across multiple geographies and time zones.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science or another technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15+ years of related work experience leading and technically running projects.
- Experience with cloud computing or cloud-hosted services.
- Experience writing software, designing APIs, and delivering projects from inception through completion, including back-office integration.
- Experience building SaaS platforms using microservices or distributed-systems architecture.
- Deep understanding of Java and JVM internals, including garbage collection, heap, stack, profiling, parameters, and class loading.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with public, private, and hybrid cloud environments, OpenStack, GCE, Kubernetes, AWS, and related cloud technologies.
- Experience building API and service systems using RabbitMQ, Kafka, or NATS; Redis or Memcached; and cloud environments capable of scaling to millions of users.
- Wi-Fi knowledge is highly desired.
