Base Salary
$250k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Scope financial partnerships with external partners, pressure-test specifications, design systems, build integrations, launch them, and operate them.
- Own technical relationships with billing platforms, payment processors, agentic-commerce protocol partners, tax and compliance vendors, and KYC/risk providers.
- Build and maintain integrations with ACP, UCP, MPP, and Shared Payment Tokens.
- Design reusable abstractions, versioned interfaces, and durable integrations that enable new monetization surfaces.
- Build observability for partner-facing flows, including webhook reliability, reconciliation, latency SLOs, incident response, and dashboards.
- Lead partner-side incident response, escalation, post-incident reviews, and integration hardening.
- Represent Replit in partner technical reviews, API design discussions, protocol input, and joint roadmaps.
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, data, legal, and business development to produce auditable financial data, satisfy contractual SLAs, and support commercial deals.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong backend expertise.
- Hands-on experience integrating at least one external financial-partner platform end to end through go-live and steady-state operation.
- A track record of scoping ambiguous integrations with partners and operating production-grade systems.
- Strong system-design skills for high-correctness domains involving money, idempotency, retries, reconciliation, and observability.
- Ability to work autonomously across organizational boundaries and lead technical discussions with partner engineering teams.
- Excellent debugging skills for systems the engineer does not own, including analysis of logs, replays, and webhook traces.
- Experience with agentic-commerce primitives, usage-based billing platforms, payment processors, webhook-driven integrations, multi-party payment flows, or marketplace payouts is preferred.
- Experience influencing a partner’s API design is preferred.
