Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full-stack financial software solutions.
- Design and lead the architecture of scalable, reliable, secure financial systems.
- Implement cloud-native and modern software architecture solutions for Java applications.
- Collaborate with financial analysts, data scientists, UI/UX designers, clients, and stakeholders.
- Provide strategic technical guidance and solve complex client challenges.
- Mentor junior engineers through guidance, code reviews, and team development.
- Apply financial domain knowledge and regulatory considerations to software solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
- At least five years of professional full-stack development experience, preferably in financial services or consulting.
- At least five years of hands-on Java experience with advanced knowledge of Java frameworks and libraries.
- Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, SOAP web services, JPA/Hibernate, SQL, and JUnit.
- Knowledge of Java design patterns and principles, including Singleton, Factory, Observer, Dependency Injection/Inversion of Control, and Interface Segregation Principle.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and cloud-native compute, storage, networking, and database services.
- Experience deploying Java applications in cloud and container environments and designing systems to scale horizontally or vertically.
- Understanding of modern software architectures such as microservices, serverless computing, and containerization.
- Experience applying Agile delivery methodologies and iterative development practices.
- Consulting experience with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Fluent German and English proficiency is mandatory; French proficiency is a plus.
- Cloud platform certification, such as Azure Solutions Architect, is a plus.
