Responsibilities
- Build web and real-time applications for Clio’s Voice & Messaging platform.
- Design and develop a serverless, event-driven backend using Node.js and AWS.
- Work with WebRTC, SIP, VoIP, and LiveKit-based real-time communications infrastructure.
- Deploy and maintain production code at scale.
- Solve complex customer and engineering problems and build solutions spanning multiple teams.
- Review code, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with engineering teams across Canada, the United States, and Ireland.
- Diagnose technical issues, collaborate across Clio, and contribute to architecture for greenfield systems.
- Mentor teammates and participate in continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements
- Experience building web and real-time applications with Node.js on a serverless AWS stack including Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
- Familiarity with real-time voice and video technologies including WebRTC, VoIP/SIP, and LiveKit.
- A track record of deploying and maintaining production code at scale.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work effectively with distributed teams and customers.
- Preferred qualifications include software-development mentorship, experience with Agile processes and large-scale SaaS products, broad technical knowledge, clear communication, and the ability to build high-trust relationships.
- Interest in improving software-development craft through AI.
