Base Salary
$120k - $125k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, development, delivery, deployment, and production support of scalable full-stack applications.
- Build frontend experiences with ReactJS, TypeScript, and JavaScript and backend APIs and microservices with Go, Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Architect AWS cloud-native solutions using containerized platforms, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and monitoring.
- Own features end to end and drive scalability, reliability, security, performance, maintainability, and operational excellence.
- Lead technical design discussions, architecture reviews, code reviews, testing strategies, and resolution of complex production issues.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and collaborate with product managers, architects, designers, business stakeholders, and distributed engineering teams.
- Communicate technical decisions, risks, trade-offs, dependencies, and delivery status across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent, with 8+ years of full-stack software engineering experience.
- Deep expertise in ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, hooks, functional components, and scalable high-performance user interfaces.
- Strong backend development experience with Go, Java, Python, or Node.js, including APIs, microservices, distributed systems, REST, gRPC, Thrift, and Koa.
- Experience with system design, distributed systems, scalability, resiliency, performance optimization, relational and NoSQL databases, and networking and security fundamentals.
- Strong AWS experience, including ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and CloudWatch, along with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CircleCI.
- Experience with unit, integration, API, and UI testing, including Jest and Cypress, plus observability and monitoring with Datadog and CloudWatch.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools including Gemini, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot, as well as Agile/Scrum delivery.
- Ability to independently own complex technical initiatives, solve difficult problems, communicate effectively, manage stakeholders, mentor engineers, and balance technical quality with business priorities.
- Preferred experience includes Kafka, AWS EventBridge, SQS, Databricks, Airflow, Temporal, Elasticsearch, enterprise design systems, shared UI component libraries, Bazel, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, high-scale SaaS or marketplace platforms, and distributed engineering teams.
