Base Salary
$109k - $164k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, standardize, implement, verify, validate, and commercialize cellular air interfaces, modem technologies, and related software.
- Develop Qualcomm proprietary vector DSP firmware, PHY-layer modem firmware, modem control software, and embedded firmware under constrained MIPS and memory requirements.
- Program and optimize SIMD and assembly-based DSP code for modem transmit and receive baseband signal processing.
- Design, optimize, and implement software for wireless systems and modems.
- Develop unit tests, debugging processes, and efficient test methodologies for modem DSP firmware.
- Integrate software into platforms or products and collaborate with cross-functional and integration teams.
- Design products that meet customer requirements and wireless standards.
- Write technical documentation and feature descriptions.
- Contribute to ORAN and FAPI specifications and AI/ML-native modem enhancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with DSP intrinsics or assembly, C, Python, real-time operating systems, embedded systems, SIMD optimization, signal processing or communication theory, and multithreaded programming.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred: 1+ year of applicable wireless, semiconductor, or embedded software industry experience.
- Preferred: 1+ year of experience with computer architecture or embedded systems.
- Preferred: DSP development experience, Matlab experience, modem or PHY-layer firmware development, and familiarity with 5G NR and LTE protocols.
