Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Java/Kotlin with Spring Boot or Node.js/TypeScript.
- Build web applications and features with React and TypeScript using shared design-system components.
- Design data models and work with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Integrate services through REST APIs and messaging systems such as Kafka, NATS, and RabbitMQ.
- Containerize and deploy applications with Docker and Kubernetes and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
- Write automated tests across the stack and participate in code reviews.
- Use AI coding assistants while critically reviewing and testing generated code.
- Monitor and improve production features with attention to quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with product, UX, platform, and engineering teams on technical decisions and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of professional full-stack development experience.
- Backend experience with Java and/or Kotlin and Spring Boot, or Node.js and TypeScript.
- Experience with React and TypeScript.
- Understanding of RESTful API design and web application architecture.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ is preferred.
- Hands-on Docker experience; Kubernetes experience is preferred.
- Strong testing mindset and familiarity with CI/CD practices.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor, including reviewing and testing AI-generated code.
- Experience working in agile teams and fluency in spoken and written English.
