Responsibilities
- Evolve the architecture of finance services and applications and ensure smooth usage across the FARFETCH ecosystem.
- Investigate reported issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective strategies with the team.
- Monitor, maintain, and support existing services and applications.
- Collaborate with Senior and Principal Engineers and Data, Product, and Security teams on technical roadmaps and solutions.
- Work with other teams to assess technical feasibility and evolve backend capabilities using .NET, Mongo, SQL Server, Kafka, Redis, and Docker.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in C#/.NET, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and data structures.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, messaging systems, and contract-driven development; Kafka experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of testing strategies and a strong focus on code quality.
- Experience with NoSQL and/or SQL databases.
- Ability to work autonomously and make effective technical decisions.
- Interest in financial accounting, platform transaction reporting, and fiscal or operational documentation.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies is a plus.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Experience using AI agentic workflows is a plus.
