Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Design, develop, and deploy high-scale systems and reliable, high-throughput data services and interfaces.
- Define and improve application design, architecture, best practices, and system guidelines.
- Optimize and tune applications for performance and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Take technical ownership of challenging large-scale data systems and facilitate cross-team collaboration.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in backend software development involving large-scale applications and data.
- Proven experience defining and improving application design and architecture.
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Apache Flink, and Cassandra.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with Kafka, Trino, Scala, Docker, Kubernetes, and large-scale data systems.
- Preferred experience building large systems from scratch, contributing to relevant open-source projects, and taking technical ownership of large-scale data systems.
