Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, product teams, partners, and open-source communities to determine requirements and build cloud-based solutions.
- Identify dependencies and develop design documents for products, applications, services, and platforms.
- Create, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance, maintainability, effectiveness, and ROI.
- Contribute to project plans, release plans, work items, reusable solution patterns, and open-source software assets.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual, participate in on-call operations, monitor systems for degradation or downtime, and coordinate restoration actions.
- Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, performance, monitoring, and operations at scale.
- Guide other engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, data scientists, technical program managers, and designers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline and at least four years of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Fluency in Japanese and English.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and at least eight years of technical engineering experience, or a relevant master’s degree and at least ten years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
