Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Research, develop, integrate, deploy, and evaluate robotic and unmanned systems for DoD warfighter mission areas.
- Design, build, test, and demonstrate robotic capabilities involving sensing, autonomy, and human interaction.
- Develop and debug C/C++ software and algorithms for Linux-based embedded systems, including drivers and sensor, platform, and interface integration.
- Develop autonomy algorithms for localization and navigation path planning.
- Lead robotic software development efforts across requirements specification, design, implementation, integration, planning, tasking, testing, and code reviews.
- Integrate sensor fusion and state estimation algorithms, including Kalman filters, particle filters, SLAM, and VIO.
- Work independently on complex engineering problems and mentor and supervise team members.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience developing and debugging C/C++ software and algorithms for Linux-based embedded systems.
- At least 2 years of experience developing autonomy algorithms such as localization and path planning for navigation.
- At least 2 years of experience leading robotic software development efforts.
- At least 1 year of experience integrating sensor fusion and state estimation algorithms.
- Knowledge of ROS2 for robotic application development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a robotics field.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include computer vision experience with OpenCV, experience with UAS platforms and PX4-based flight controllers, Docker and Docker Compose experience, and experience leading software development using DevOps principles and automation tools.
- Preferred qualifications include DoD customer briefing and requirements collection experience, UCI, OMS, QGroundControl, an existing Secret clearance, a relevant master’s or doctorate degree, and FAA Small UAS Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification.
