Responsibilities
- Design and develop Android applications using modern Android technologies and best practices.
- Build scalable, maintainable, and well-tested solutions for a large-scale streaming application.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver features.
- Drive technical discussions, contribute to architectural decisions, review code, and mentor engineers.
- Investigate and resolve performance, stability, and reliability issues.
- Contribute to improvements in engineering practices, tooling, and development processes.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional Android development experience.
- Strong Kotlin knowledge and experience with Coroutines and asynchronous programming.
- Understanding of MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture, Jetpack libraries, mobile design patterns, and software engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience with ExoPlayer and/or Media3 and multi-module Android projects.
- Experience with dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger and Hilt.
- Experience with REST APIs, testing practices, CI/CD workflows, code reviews, and collaborative software development.
- Experience with video streaming technologies, live streaming or OTT platforms, DRM solutions, Chromecast/Google Cast, video analytics, monitoring, feature flags, and applications serving millions of users is preferred.
- Knowledge of Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay, Firebase Remote Config, and RxJava is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and international collaboration skills.
