Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain capabilities for the Backbase Mobile Platform.
- Develop SDKs, libraries, and scalable identity and authentication features for mobile banking applications.
- Write clean, maintainable Swift code using native Apple frameworks and technologies.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical designs and implementations.
- Write automated tests and collaborate with QA teams to achieve at least 80% unit test coverage.
- Contribute to requirements gathering, implementation, documentation, product adoption support, and customer and partner support.
- Uphold engineering standards and lead initiatives that improve engineering excellence.
- Support Agile delivery and CI/CD practices using tools such as Bitrise and GitHub Actions.
- Explore and apply AI tools and agentic frameworks to code generation, test automation, developer productivity, and product capabilities.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional experience in native iOS development.
- Strong proficiency in Swift and practical experience with Objective-C.
- Experience developing applications in FinTech, banking, or payments.
- Expertise with modern iOS architectural patterns such as MVVM, VIPER, and Clean Architecture.
- Experience with SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, or RxSwift.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and GraphQL and using asynchronous programming such as Grand Central Dispatch, async/await, or Combine.
- Strong understanding of mobile security practices, including Keychain and biometrics.
- Experience with Git and version control systems.
- Passion for AI/ML tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, and Xcode AI.
- Preferred: knowledge of mobile application security and data encryption standards.
- Preferred: experience with Swift Package Manager, CocoaPods, Firebase, Crashlytics, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Preferred: experience publishing iOS applications on the Apple App Store.
