Responsibilities
- Build, improve, and maintain Android SDKs and libraries for identity and authentication in mobile banking applications.
- Design and implement performant, maintainable, scalable mobile features from business requirements and technical designs.
- Contribute across the product development lifecycle, including feedback gathering, implementation, testing, documentation, and product adoption support.
- Develop with native Android frameworks and collaborate with mobile squads and Principal Engineers.
- Lead initiatives that improve engineering standards, practices, and engineering excellence.
- Automate testing and work with QA to achieve a minimum of 80% unit test coverage.
- Use CI/CD practices and explore AI tools and agentic frameworks for code generation, test automation, developer productivity, and product capabilities.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience in native Android development.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin.
- Experience developing applications in FinTech, banking, or payments.
- Expertise with modern Android architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture.
- Experience with Jetpack Compose and Android Architecture Components.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and GraphQL and using asynchronous programming with Coroutines or RxJava.
- Experience with Git and strong understanding of mobile security best practices.
- Interest in or experience with AI/ML tools including GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, and IntelliJ AI.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred qualifications include mobile application security and data encryption knowledge; Firebase, Crashlytics, mobile analytics, A/B testing, and crash reporting experience; Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions experience; published Android applications; and experience maintaining Android libraries with stable, reliable APIs.
