Base Salary

$124k - $186k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement responsive, accessible UI components using React, Vue, or similar frameworks.
  • Translate network-security concepts such as topology maps, risk scores, policy rules, alerts, and remediation steps into usable interfaces.
  • Own UX for onboarding, network and device discovery, dashboards, investigations, and reporting workflows.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups and iterate based on user feedback and usability testing.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers on APIs and data contracts while keeping topology graphs, tables, and charts performant at scale.
  • Partner with QA and Solutions Testing teams to validate workflows across customer network scenarios.
  • Gather feedback from customers, sales engineers, and support teams to refine the user experience.
  • Maintain and evolve the platform’s component and design system.
  • Ensure WCAG accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Monitor and optimize frontend performance for large topology and data sets.
  • Define frontend architecture, tooling, coding standards, state management, and component architecture.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level frontend/UI engineers through reviews, pairing, and design critiques.

Requirements

  • 5+/8+ years of experience as a frontend engineer, UI/UX engineer, or product designer with strong coding ability, ideally on data-dense or technical SaaS products.
  • Experience owning frontend architecture decisions and mentoring engineers.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and component-based frameworks, with React preferred and Vue or Angular acceptable.
  • Strong UX skills in information architecture, interaction design, and visual hierarchy, supported by a design-to-code portfolio.
  • Experience designing interfaces for complex, data-heavy domains such as dashboards, network visualizations, security tools, or DevOps tools.
  • Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design tools.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and collaboration with backend teams on UI data contracts.
  • Understanding of responsive design, WCAG accessibility standards, and cross-browser/device compatibility.
  • Ability to conduct or contribute to usability testing and apply findings to design and engineering improvements.
  • Preferred experience in network security, cybersecurity, or IT infrastructure SaaS products.
  • Preferred familiarity with D3.js, Recharts, Cytoscape.js, or similar data visualization libraries.
  • Preferred understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking concepts including VLANs, routing, and ACLs.
  • Preferred experience with design systems and component libraries at scale.
  • Preferred exposure to CI/CD pipelines and frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, and Cypress.

  • Base salary range of $124,000—$186,000 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefit options.
