Responsibilities
- Manage system uptime across AWS, GCP, and hybrid architectures.
- Build infrastructure-as-code patterns, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment tooling, and comprehensive runbooks.
- Troubleshoot distributed architecture service maps and participate in on-call response for high-severity application incidents.
- Lead availability-focused blameless postmortems and own remediation actions to prevent recurrence.
- Design, deploy, and manage production-ready Kubernetes clusters and scalable cloud infrastructure.
- Implement monitoring and logging, identify performance bottlenecks, and improve application and infrastructure reliability.
- Promote reliability practices, support smooth deployments, and mentor other SREs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding, or equivalent job experience.
- 5–7 years of experience in software engineering, systems administration, database administration, and networking.
- At least 2 years of experience developing or administering software in a public cloud.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling and practices, infrastructure automation, orchestration, monitoring, and application availability.
- Experience with Linux or Windows administration and tools such as Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Programming experience with languages such as Python, Bash, Java, Go, JavaScript, or Node.js.
- Demonstrable knowledge of systems, storage, networking, security, and databases.
- Expertise troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems and experience with incident response and performance analysis.
- Cloud certification is strongly preferred; Kubernetes certifications such as CKA or CKAD are advantageous.
- Experience in secure, regulated, or compliant industries and the ability to mentor other SREs are advantageous.
