Responsibilities

  • Design and evolve resilient inter-site, cloud, and internet connectivity for large-scale AI infrastructure.
  • Own external BGP policy and edge traffic engineering, including route filtering, failover, and capacity planning.
  • Build API-driven automation for edge routing, firewalls, VPNs, carrier connectivity, and network segmentation.
  • Coordinate with carriers, cloud connectivity providers, colocation partners, and vendors on design, provisioning, incidents, and service improvements.
  • Design automated validation, resilience testing, staged rollout, observability, rollback, and recovery workflows.
  • Participate in on-call rotation, troubleshoot WAN and edge incidents, restore service, and implement root-cause improvements.
  • Review designs and code, explain networking trade-offs, and improve network engineering quality across the organization.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on WAN and edge networking experience across internet connectivity, data-center interconnect, private WAN, or cloud networking.
  • Experience taking external BGP designs from conception through production and debugging them during incidents.
  • Experience integrating and troubleshooting stateful firewalls, NAT, asymmetric routing, and redundant edge designs on a major routing or firewall platform.
  • Experience building or operating production network automation with network-management APIs and data models, including understanding of desired state and idempotency.
  • Strong software-engineering fundamentals in a general-purpose language, including the ability to design, test, debug, and review production systems, with willingness to become productive in Go.
  • Operational troubleshooting experience using routing and flow state, packet captures, link health, telemetry, and logs.
  • Clear communication, stakeholder management, technical leadership, and the ability to translate technical needs into connectivity designs, provider requirements, acceptance criteria, and service-level expectations.
  • Nice-to-have experience with FortiGate, FortiManager, public-cloud or hybrid-cloud interconnect, internet transit and peering, RPKI, route-origin validation, DDoS mitigation, global traffic engineering, streaming telemetry, network source-of-truth systems, configuration-compliance tooling, Go code, or Kubernetes controllers and operators.

Benefits

  • Benefits may include healthcare coverage, parental leave, retirement plans, relocation support, wellness programs, and meal and transportation allowances, varying by country.
  • The role is part of distributed teams across Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East; location-specific benefits are provided through the company benefits page.
