Base Salary
$160k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, deploy, document, and manage cloud-based network infrastructure.
- Own and maintain critical API infrastructure serving hundreds of requests per second.
- Lead and defend technical decisions through design justification, coordination, and identification of organizational requirements and value.
- Develop an understanding of the long-term needs of the infrastructure.
- Manage and assist with resolving complicated technical problems and incidents, including communication and escalation.
- Support and maintain infrastructure to provide high service availability to the organization.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of network engineering experience at a software company, preferably a startup.
- Considerable experience with GCP and Kubernetes.
- Track record of automating infrastructure and deployments, such as with Terraform.
- Proficiency with Go or TypeScript, gRPC, Protobuf, IP converged networks, GCP VPC, load balancers, and IAM role management and implementation.
- Understanding of high-quality code and software engineering processes, with the ability to foster them in an engineering environment.
- Eagerness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and continue developing technical skills.
- Expert communication skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering teams.
