Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical work translating ethnographic research into applied AI capabilities through rapid prototyping and iterative feedback.
- Develop applied AI concepts end to end, from exploration through technical handoffs for replication.
- Set technical goals for 0-to-1 proofs of concept, guide a small team, and promote rapid experimentation and technical excellence.
- Collaborate with researchers, designers, product managers, and external partners to connect human needs with technology.
- Own the technical narrative for proofs of concept through demos and technical documentation for leadership and external partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- 5 years of experience applying AI solutions and ML-related technologies in consumer or enterprise applications.
- Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Experience delivering technical prototypes or proofs of concept in ambiguous problem spaces.
- Experience integrating current artificial intelligence capabilities and vibe coding tools into engineering practices.
- Experience at the intersection of technology and social systems, such as governance, health, or economic insecurity.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical complexity to non-technical stakeholders.
