Responsibilities
- Design, build, extend, and maintain OTC asset management solutions and APIs.
- Develop primarily in C# while working with a codebase that includes OCaml and APL.
- Refactor and modernize legacy code without disrupting customer operations.
- Improve system quality, scalability, performance, user experience, and operational resilience.
- Collaborate with product owners to refine requirements and shape feature solutions.
- Pair with engineers, review code, share solution ownership, and contribute across the full software development lifecycle.
- Communicate with technical and business stakeholders and contribute to architectural decisions at senior or lead level.
Requirements
- Solid C# skills and demonstrated hands-on software engineering experience.
- A relevant degree in Computer Science or STEM.
- Experience with or strong interest in functional programming and legacy-system refactoring.
- For senior or lead candidates, a track record of contributing to architectural decisions on scalable backend systems.
- Familiarity with OCaml, APL, F#, Standard ML, Scala, or Haskell is advantageous but not required.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, including fluency in written and spoken English.
- Interest in financial technology, learning new languages and paradigms, identifying technical debt, and driving incremental improvement.
