Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement highly performant and scalable software solutions.
- Define architectural patterns and service-led architectures using Java or Kotlin, and build user interfaces with React.
- Conceptualize and build AI-powered tools and features for FIC sales teams, including initiatives involving machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics.
- Build greenfield components and strategically integrate or refactor existing solutions.
- Contribute to hiring, mentor junior developers, and promote technical excellence and best practices.
- Apply front-office technology and CRM expertise to address the needs of investment banking and corporate banking sales professionals.
- Collaborate with sales teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Follow Deutsche Bank engineering principles, standards, and software development best practices.
Requirements
- Significant hands-on experience delivering complex and impactful software solutions as a Software Engineer.
- Experience in front-office technology within an investment bank and a solid understanding of sales workflows.
- Experience designing and implementing robust, scalable, and maintainable service-led architectures.
- Proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
- Strong experience with React or similar JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience with AI software development toolkits and contributions to AI or machine learning projects.
- Ability to provide technical mentorship and support team growth and development.
- Experience with greenfield development and strategic refactoring or re-engineering of existing systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
- Knowledge of at least one CRM platform, such as Salesforce or Dynamics, and experience collaborating with sales professionals is highly desirable.
- Ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and solve business problems while applying responsible and ethical judgment to data and AI outputs.
