Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of complex user-facing features and shared front-end foundations for Clear Street Studio.
- Drive system design for front-end services while balancing scale, performance, and maintainability.
- Set engineering standards for architecture, testing, tooling, and code quality.
- Mentor and develop engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.
- Partner with product, design, and back-end leads to shape roadmaps and technical plans.
- Own operational excellence, including reliability, observability, and high service-level performance.
Requirements
- At least six years of professional experience implementing scalable web applications with React and TypeScript.
- Experience solving complex business problems at scale, including systems handling massive amounts of data and distributed-system technologies.
- Strong command of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Ability to explain system design and front-end paradigms clearly to engineers and stakeholders.
- Track record of prioritizing end-user experience through API design, functionality, and performance.
- Experience mentoring engineers, defining engineering standards, and driving system-design approaches.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and product-quality focus.
- Preferred qualifications include front-end architecture experience for large-scale or data-intensive applications, Nx or Turborepo monorepo tooling, Module Federation or other micro-frontend architectures, Kubernetes, cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and financial-services experience.
