Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain Canton-based applications using DAML.
- Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, debugging, and end-to-end test coverage for DAML applications.
- Design and implement DAML models, workflows, and smart contracts.
- Connect applications to development, test, and production environments and manage configuration and operational troubleshooting.
- Implement integrations using ledger-facing JSON API or gRPC-based APIs and external signatures.
- Develop scalable, fast, robust, and simple web-based solutions for complex business problems.
- Provide technical direction for development, design, and systems integration across multiple client engagements.
- Collaborate with Product Management on iterative development cycles and contribute to EY’s internal knowledge base.
- Suggest reusable technical solutions, report status, prioritize issues, and resolve problems.
- Manage team members and ensure assigned tasks are completed on time.
- Architect cloud applications and ensure partner integrations address availability, scalability, security, performance, resiliency, cloud readiness, and monitoring.
Requirements
- 6 to 10 years of web application development experience, including at least 2 years of blockchain development experience.
- Strong blockchain experience with Ethereum or Canton, with Canton preferred.
- Strong experience writing smart contracts with DAML or Solidity, with DAML preferred.
- Experience with object-oriented or declarative programming languages, including Scala, Clojure, or Elm.
- Working knowledge of Canton participants, domains, and onboarding or party setup.
- Experience with end-to-end integration, external signatures, DAML troubleshooting, REST services, and backend development with Node.js.
- Experience developing web solutions using HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS or React.
- Familiarity with MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
- Experience with software configuration management tools and automated build environments such as Git and Azure DevOps.
- Required knowledge of Azure or AWS and experience with Agile development.
- Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure and message queuing systems.
- Experience architecting applications in the cloud and applying professional software engineering practices across the software development life cycle.
- Strong communication, prioritization, collaboration, and team leadership skills.
