Base Salary
$100k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the long-term technical vision and influence multi-year engineering decisions, technical culture, and product strategy.
- Analyze customer needs, market trends, and technical risks to support strategic product decisions.
- Design systems for strategic and clean-sheet product development projects.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, promote continuous learning, and serve as a technical resource for engineering teams.
- Lead the software development lifecycle from concept through release, including architecture, requirements, algorithm design, firmware, embedded applications, and verification and validation.
- Establish development tools and processes, perform competitive analysis, and remove obstacles to efficient execution.
- Develop and present technical proposals, communicate complex concepts, facilitate complex issue resolution, and drive stakeholder-aligned strategies.
- May require up to 10% travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering is required.
- Minimum 3–5 years of applicable post-graduate industrial manufacturing experience is required.
- Minimum 3–5 years of object-oriented software development experience using Rust, Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, and C#.
- Experience developing applications for embedded Linux, Android, and iOS platforms.
- Experience with Linux system administration and support, IDEs including Microsoft Visual Studio and Eclipse, and RTOS for MCU-based control systems.
- Experience developing and integrating RS232/485, CAN, MQTT, Modbus, and Ethernet communication protocols.
- Experience working with MCU peripherals and architectures including UART, USB, GPIO, I2C, SPI, PWM, timers, eMMC, and System-on-Module architectures.
- Proven ability to architect, implement, and deploy complex technical solutions.
- Proficiency with Bitbucket/Git, Jenkins, Docker, Jira, and SonarQube static analysis.
- Familiarity with interpreting hardware schematics for debugging.
- Experience with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, and cloud computing solutions involving Digital Twin, SaaS, PaaS, DaaS, and data lakes.
- A Master of Science degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Electro-mechanical experience in industrial or automotive products is preferred.

- Compensation is $99,800.00–$149,600.00 depending on experience, with potential eligibility for a performance-based bonus plan.

- The role may require up to 10% travel and has no supervisory responsibilities.
