Responsibilities
- Lead system development lifecycle activities, including requirements definition, resource estimation, system design, development, testing, production migration, and documentation.
- Lead the internal development team for system development and testing.
- Design and implement highly available and scalable systems using modern technologies.
- Investigate and resolve design defects and technical issues.
- Perform quality reviews of software designs and code changes.
- Collaborate with IT teams and business departments across the organization.
- Ensure system development and operations follow IT standards, guidelines, corporate policies, and frameworks.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of system development experience in large-scale systems, preferably in financial services.
- Strong skills in Java, C++, Python, Perl, RESTful technologies, SQL, React, and JSX.
- Expertise in system architecture design and extensive experience with Spring Boot, Linux, data modeling, microservices, and containerized architecture platforms.
- Strong cloud technology experience, including in-memory databases and messaging technologies.
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Jira, Git, and Jenkins, plus automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Jasmine, or JUnit.
- Familiarity with object storage, databases, NoSQL, and data manipulation tools for large-dataset analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, independent-work, and communication skills.
- Understanding of quantitative finance, derivatives pricing, risk management models, or portfolio optimization is advantageous.
