Responsibilities
- Provide front-line production support for cryptocurrency trading, lending, proprietary trading, trade settlement, and risk-management functions.
- Automate support workflows to reduce manual effort and improve production-support effectiveness.
- Monitor system health and performance and resolve issues promptly.
- Debug and troubleshoot applications written in Java and Python.
- Collaborate with development teams on fixes and enhancements that improve system stability and performance.
- Coordinate follow-the-sun support with global counterparts.
- Document and maintain support procedures, runbooks, and knowledge-base articles.
- Communicate with clients about support needs, issue resolution, and status updates.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes for greater efficiency and reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least four years of experience in production support or engineering roles, preferably in finance.
- Direct exposure to trading system internals, post-trade processing, or real-time risk engines is preferred.
- Strong SQL skills and proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, preferably Java or Python.
- Experience with incident response, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving in a production environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, client relationship-building ability, and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience with cryptocurrency or electronic trading platforms is a bonus.
- Experience collaborating with global counterparts across time zones is a bonus.
- Knowledge of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency protocols is a bonus.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools is a bonus.
- Relevant certifications in software development or IT support are a bonus.
