Base Salary

$83k - $195k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of scalable, multi-tier applications across architecture, design, development, test automation, CI/CD, deployment, and production support.
  • Translate business and automation needs into technical solutions and collaborate with stakeholders and agile teams to define scope, prioritize work, and deliver software.
  • Design and build RESTful APIs and microservices while ensuring performance, reliability, observability, and secure coding across services and UI layers.
  • Drive platform resiliency, availability, and integrity through operational runbooks, on-call practices, logging, metrics, tracing, and incident response.
  • Promote coding standards, code reviews, static analysis, test coverage, release discipline, mentoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Integrate LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and agentic frameworks to improve client and employee experiences and accelerate delivery.
  • Contribute to technical strategy, roadmap planning, build-versus-buy decisions, event-driven systems, workflows, caching, and distributed systems patterns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 8+ years of professional full-stack development experience with demonstrated backend and frontend strength.
  • Expert-level Java 17+ and 5+ years of Spring/Spring Boot experience, including microservices architecture and REST API design.
  • Experience with Angular 14+ or React/JavaScript, modern UI patterns, state management, and reusable component design.
  • Hands-on messaging or eventing experience, with Kafka preferred.
  • Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Gherkin, Cucumber, SonarQube, and exposure to Veracode or Fortify.
  • Experience with Git, GitLab workflows, Docker, infrastructure-as-code fundamentals, and blue-green or feature-flag release strategies.
  • Experience with SLF4J/Log4j, log aggregation, metrics, tracing, and observability tools such as Splunk.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake or other NoSQL stores and data modeling for microservices.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum, JIRA, Confluence, Slack, pair programming, and collaborative software development.
  • Experience using coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or Windsurf.
  • Preferred experience includes Camunda, Drools, Hazelcast, Spring Cloud, Spring AI, LangChain4J, Python, and financial services or securities industry experience.
