Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain infrastructure, workflows, and operational practices supporting machine learning across perception and autonomy systems.
- Build scalable processes for data collection, curation, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Create tools for understanding model behavior, diagnosing failures, comparing experiments, and tracking quality over time.
- Improve automation, validation, release processes, and operational visibility for production ML deployments.
- Define and maintain standards for data management, experiment tracking, evaluation, testing, and model lifecycle management.
- Identify workflow bottlenecks and reliability issues and implement improvements to team velocity and confidence.
- Collaborate with robotics, cloud, data, software, perception, systems, and platform engineering teams.
- Contribute through design discussions, code reviews, documentation, and shared engineering practices.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience building, operating, or supporting software systems used by engineering teams.
- Working knowledge of machine learning workflows and challenges in developing, evaluating, deploying, or maintaining ML systems.
- Ability to design reliable and maintainable tools and infrastructure that improve developer productivity and system quality.
- Comfort working across software engineering, data, machine learning, cloud infrastructure, and production systems.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, Data Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred experience includes ML or data workflows at scale, edge-device model deployment, cloud infrastructure, distributed compute, containerized environments, workflow orchestration, data pipelines, dataset management, experiment tracking, model registries, robotics, autonomy, perception, sensor data, reliability, observability, automation, and internal tooling.
