Responsibilities
- Develop polished, cohesive, effective, and user-friendly full-stack applications for large and complex aviation-related systems.
- Develop working software toward committed team PI objectives and iteration plans while meeting expected quality standards.
- Design and evolve systems for testability and test automation, including unit and integration testing.
- Estimate user stories and tasks, participate in sprint planning and backlog refinement, and confirm requirements with the Product Owner.
- Identify and communicate technical, operational, and personal impediments, risks, change impacts, and timelines.
- Work on prototypes and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Understand and interact with multiple data formats and rapidly learn software from source code.
- Manage competing tasks, including high-priority system issues and requests, and provide daily task status updates.
Requirements
- Excellent full-stack programming skills with Java 8+, Spring Boot 3.x, Angular 12, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ for asynchronous workflows, event-driven integrations, availability, and fault tolerance.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests using Jest, Mocha, or similar tools, and debugging JavaScript with browser developer tools.
- Familiarity with Git, web APIs, asynchronous programming, and JavaScript concepts including callbacks, promises, and async/await.
- Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL databases.
- Experience with build and deployment tools, Maven, Gradle, shell scripting, and CI/CD practices.
- Preferred: bachelor ’s degree and 4–8 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred: Microsoft DevOps, configuration management, metrics and monitoring, virtualization, cloud computing with Microsoft Azure, Angular or React Native, mobile UI/UX, Java software development, JavaScript, and Python.
- Knowledge or experience in the aviation industry and SAFe projects and processes is desirable.
