Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support the ICE reference data system and derivatives trading and auction engines.
  • Own features end-to-end from system design and implementation through production support.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines, caching layers, and APIs used by trading systems.
  • Work directly with clients, quality assurance, and product management to shape requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Contribute to system architecture decisions and collaborate on platform evolution.
  • Collaborate in a small team with significant scope and impact for each engineer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 5+ years of Java development experience, a master’s degree with 3+ years, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork and direct collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Experience with multithreaded server-side development, Java concurrency primitives, core Java, and Java collections.
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with performance tuning, debugging, memory profiling, and unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Experience with UNIX/Linux commands and tools, software design, and system architecture.
  • Understanding of common design and architectural principles and comfort adopting AI coding tools.
  • Preferred qualifications include trading or fintech domain experience, Kotlin, Kafka, Redis, JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
