Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery, demonstrations, validation, and customer workshops for GitLab’s platform.
- Own technical evaluations, including solution design, proofs of concept or value, tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.
- Partner with Account Executives and regional sales teams on account strategies, customer acquisition, and expansion.
- Build relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders and guide customers through transformation and platform adoption.
- Advise customers on software development, continuous integration and deployment, security, cloud practices, and operational approaches.
- Represent customer feedback, use cases, and competitive insights to Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
- Create reusable technical examples, best-practice guidance, and customer and partner collateral.
- Participate in ongoing learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Experience in customer-facing technical pre-sales, consulting, or similar solution design and evaluation roles.
- Proficiency with the end-to-end software development lifecycle and modern DevSecOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab or comparable source control, continuous integration and deployment, and collaboration platforms.
- Practical knowledge of cloud computing and related deployment, security, and operations technologies.
- Experience leading proofs of concept or value, tenders or audits, workshops, or value stream assessments.
- Strong technical communication and presentation skills for both practitioners and senior business or technical decision makers.
- Ability to build trusted customer relationships, listen empathetically, and advocate internally.
- Motivation to continue developing technical expertise and learning new technologies.
