Base Salary
$80k - $316k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build production systems across front end, APIs, backend services, integrations, data, infrastructure, and AI components.
- Design and deploy cloud-native workloads using containers, Kubernetes, serverless services, managed cloud services, and infrastructure as code.
- Build CI/CD and production engineering workflows with automated testing, security scanning, policy enforcement, observability, release controls, and incident response.
- Design transactional, streaming, analytical, and unstructured data flows and the retrieval, embedding, metadata, knowledge, and context architecture for AI systems.
- Build production AI and agentic systems using enterprise models, tools, memory, planning, human intervention, evaluation frameworks, observability, and safeguards.
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, set technical direction, conduct client-facing architecture sessions, and communicate recommendations to technical and executive audiences.
- Create reusable engineering patterns, tooling, automation, and standards from delivery and production experience.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience across multiple stack layers, including front end or APIs, services, integration, persistence, and asynchronous processing.
- At least 5 years of programming experience in Java, Python, Go, TypeScript/JavaScript, C#, or another major language.
- At least 5 years of production experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform, Helm, or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tooling.
- At least 5 years of experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines through production with automated testing and integrated security controls.
- At least 1 year of experience designing, building, and deploying AI-enabled or agentic systems in production or near-production environments.
- At least 1 year of experience applying AI-native engineering tools and workflows to software development, including code generation, testing, debugging, modernization, and documentation.
- At least 5 years of experience leading engineering teams or significant technical workstreams and leading client-facing technical discussions under ambiguity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent, or equivalent work experience; an associate degree requires at least 6 years of work experience.
- Preferred qualifications include LangGraph, Crew AI, Claude Agent SDK, OpenAI SDK, public AI repositories or open-source contributions, multi-provider model abstraction, enterprise AI architectures, relevant cloud/security/AI certifications, multi-industry delivery, legacy modernization, and concurrent workstream leadership.
