Base Salary
$200k - $288k/yr
Responsibilities
- Orchestrate Postgres databases via a Ruby application.
- Work with AWS, Azure, and GCP APIs.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for database operations.
- Build High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.
- Tune Postgres to operate at scale for large datasets.
- Secure and ensure customer data protection.
Requirements
- 7+ years of industry experience in designing and supporting large scale systems.
- Experience with distributed, fault tolerant services.
- Strong understanding of operating systems concepts including multi-threading and memory management.
- Excellent fundamental computer science skills.
- Experience with Ruby and Go programming languages.
- Experience running and maintaining large Postgres servers.
- Familiarity with cloud networking concepts.
- Experience working with remote, geographically distributed teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
