Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational reliability of secure microservices and APIs.
- Build Java and Spring Boot cloud-native services on Google Cloud Platform using services including Cloud Run, Cloud Pub/Sub, and Apigee.
- Design and optimize RESTful APIs integrating mobile applications, dealership service systems, and in-vehicle digital displays.
- Apply Test-Driven Development, Clean Code practices, automated testing, and code-quality tools including SonarQube and FOSSA.
- Build deployment pipelines and Infrastructure as Code using GitHub, Tekton, and Terraform, including canary and zero-downtime releases.
- Monitor production health, conduct load and performance testing, troubleshoot distributed systems, and improve reliability and scalability.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams in Agile/Kanban environments.
- Lead technical design discussions, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant practical experience.
- At least 5 years of progressive software engineering experience building, deploying, and supporting scalable cloud-based applications.
- Hands-on experience developing backend services, microservices, and RESTful APIs with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Experience deploying cloud-native services on Google Cloud Platform or comparable platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with GCP services including Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and Apigee.
- Knowledge of RESTful API design, JSON, OpenAPI, Swagger, authentication, authorization, API security, and relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development, automated testing, code coverage, Clean Code, Git-based version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated releases.
- Experience with cloud operations, Infrastructure as Code, observability, logging, monitoring, alerting, performance analysis, and distributed-system troubleshooting.
- Experience with DevOps tools including GitHub, Jenkins, Cloud Build, Tekton, Terraform, SonarQube, and FOSSA.
- Preferred experience includes event-driven architecture, Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Apache Kafka, canary and blue-green deployments, feature flags, API gateway management, performance profiling, and Kubernetes.
- Preferred familiarity with Dynatrace, Grafana, GCP Cloud Monitoring, containerization, and cloud-native application design patterns.
- Preferred experience supporting high-traffic customer applications, dealership or enterprise service platforms, or automotive and connected-vehicle systems; a master’s degree is also preferred.
