GenAI Engineer Global Link - Assistant Vice President
State StreetResponsibilities
- Implement and deliver server-side components, microservices, Web APIs, and enhancements to the BestX product.
- Architect and build production-grade Generative AI systems, LLM-powered solutions, AI-enabled services, and agentic frameworks for commercial production.
- Integrate Generative AI into financial workflows supporting analytics, automation, decision support, and operational efficiency.
- Design autonomous and semi-autonomous agents that reason, plan, and orchestrate complex workflows across distributed systems.
- Apply observability, testing, versioning, explainability, security, and cost control standards to AI systems.
- Collaborate with product, data, and business stakeholders to translate business problems into reliable, well-architected AI solutions.
- Establish engineering best practices and influence technology and architectural decisions, including prompt management, model integration, evaluation, and lifecycle management.
- Maintain and enhance core applications while driving engineering modernization, continuous improvement, and high-quality releases.
Requirements
- Demonstrated strength in modern cloud-native architectures, server-side development, database design, and production software engineering.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-powered solutions, Generative AI services, and agentic frameworks into production.
- Ability to design scalable, performant, secure, explainable, and regulated AI systems.
- Strong engineering discipline involving clean code, robust design patterns, maintainable architectures, testing, observability, versioning, and lifecycle management.
- Understanding of Transaction Cost Analysis and benchmarks relevant to MiFID II/MiFIR.
- Ability to translate business needs into AI solutions while balancing innovation, reliability, performance, security, and regulatory expectations.
- Ability to influence architecture, establish best practices, and collaborate across engineering, product, data, and business teams.
